My story with animals began before I was born
While my mother was pregnant with me, she was bitten by an unfamiliar dog in the street. As I grew up, I often asked her about the scar and what had happened that day. The story stayed with me. For a long time, almost every animal felt unpredictable, so I preferred to keep my distance.
That changed when I met the right animal. There was no single dramatic moment—just calm contact, trust and time. My fear slowly gave way to curiosity. I began paying closer attention to body language, boundaries and the small ways animals show that they feel safe.
I also discovered something I never expected: animals often seemed comfortable around me. The more patience and attention I gave them, the more trust I received in return. An old fear gradually became a genuine love for dogs, cats and other pets.
